Traditional Puppet

Puppet can be made as you desire - even the movement of every parts of the puppet can be created ; as if it The puppet is madeof three types of wood ( Khyun, Yamanay, and Kathit ). It takes 3 days to complete the puppet. The was real. When they carved the boy parts, the body part of male and female is carved as it is in the real appearance. The puppets were well dressed as the people were used to wear.

Lacquerware

The lacquerware technique starts with a wickerwork of woven, finely cut strips of bamboo, horse hair, wood, essential material, mixture of Lacquer resin with clay, wood sawdust and ash are carefully built-up and finally polished with the ash of fossil wood. Our Myanmar traditional Lacquerware is one of the ten different flowery arts and crafts of the Golden Land, it is the constant source of fame and Bagan is the Lacquerware heart-land of Myanmar. A visit to our land of great charms and amazing art an crafts is not complete without observation of our traditional Lacquer technique.

Burmese Parasol

The Myanmar traditional parasol is mostly a bamboo and oiled close affair. While most of its raw materials are locally produced. The Tin-wah is favorite bamboo, out of which 18" - 20" strips are made. The bamboo is soak for some time in foul water, to prevent it from the danger of insects later. The head and sliding hub of the parasol are made of teak, manufactured by using turning lathe. The other important parts the framework of ribs, the cover or leave, the rib, the trigger, the handle and the shaft, which is of various kind, The radius for a man's parasol 10 inches respectively. The number of rib win props for each parasol also differs. However, all these measurements and numbers are only general. They could differ from locality to locality.

Mother of Pearl

Nacre is also known as mother of pearl, is an organic-inorganic composite material produced by some molluscs as an inner shell layer; it is also what makes up the outer coating of pearls. It is strong, resilient, and iridescent. The origin of mother of pearl is from Myeik Archipelago, Taninthayi Division of Burma (Myanmar). Mother of pearl buttons is used in clothing either for functional or decorative purposes. The Pearly Kings and Queens are an elaborate example of this. Nacre is also used to decorate watches, knives, kitchen ware, souvenir accessories and jewellery.
